Frank Gehry House

Renowned Pritzker Prize winining Architect, Frank Gehry built the The Frank Gehry House in Santa Monica in 1978. Located on the corner of 22nd Street and Washington Avenue this home is considered one of the world’s great examples of Deconstructivist Post-Modern Architecture.

Palisades Park
Magnificent Palisades Park sits high above the beach itself. Running along Ocean Avenue at the top of Santa Monica’s famous sandstone cliffs, this public park offers a breathtakingly gorgeous view, public art and a surprisingly wonderful venue for a little meditative serenity.

Santa Monica City Hall
Built in 1938, the Santa Monica City Hall was part of President Franklin Roosevelt’S PWA project to help cure the country of “The Great Depression.” Designed by architects Donald B. Parkinson and Joseph M. Estep, and is a fine example of Deco Moderne architecture.

Santa Monica Pier
Perched over the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, "The Pier" feels more like a carnival than a place to shop. Cirque du Soleil pitches their tent on the beach here annually, and there are concerts and dances on the weekends in the summer. In addition to the many restaurants and souvenir stands, there is a full-service amusement park with a roller coaster, ferris wheel, merry-go-round and arcade. The pier's end provides one of the best sunset views in Los Angeles County.

Venice Beach Boardwalk
You haven't seen it all until you've seen the Venice Boardwalk! During the summer season and on weekends, there is street entertainment at every intersection along Ocean Front Walk. Street performers include instrumental musicians, singers, jugglers, acrobats, mimes, comics, magicians, prophets, fortune tellers, and other assorted entertainers.

Venice Canals
The original 16 miles of canals were dug in 1904 under the direction of Abbot Kinney and are now a quaint upscale neighborhood in Venice. Fully restored and remodeled homes make it a postcard scene along the canal shores. Venice California originally was to be a copy of Venice, Italy, canals and all. Few of the original canals remain today.

Santa Monica Airport
The Santa Monica Airport has a rich aviation history dating back to circa 1919. There was Douglas Aircraft Company taking root in the 1920's, the airport's role in WWII in the 1940's and the numerous US Presidents and business & community leaders which have visited Santa Monica throughout the years.
